That looks very cool from the intended viewpoint, but a lot of the 3d stuff would break down at another angle. I'm curious how big the sweet spot is for the buildings shown here.

They mention a battery of projectors. How far could you get with a semi-circle of projectors, projecting interleaved vertical strips of the total image? Assume there's a magic calibration method performed by ponies and overseen by a unicorn.

There's a limit to the quality of 3D experience you can get when you are trying to render 3D content of one shape (by whatever means possible) onto a surface of another shape. The 3D perspective will only work well within a limited area.
