The links in Google's search results are now redirects through Google [EDIT: for select logged in users apparently. But I'm betting y'all will see it soon]. Read more about it consumingexperience. In addition to allowing Google to individually track which links you click, this breaks the "right-click copy" function for the link. This is highly annoying.

I just tried this, and it's not what I'm seeing. I searched for 'fish.' Hovering over the links shows the same destination as the address listed in the link description. Right click -> Copy Link Location -> paste into address bar shows the same.

Edit: Verified that I'm logged into my Google account. Still not seeing this behavior.

Yeah, I edited the post to make it clear that it's happening to some select logged in users. I'm seeing what's described at the consumingexperience link.

I wonder why you don't have it? I've noticed the Google redirection for a long time (I'm logged in, FWIW). It complicates my Google stalking, dammit.

Yup, I noticed that it has been doing that for months. Don't remember when it started. Thankfully, Google's latency is not too terrible. It is also keeping a history of the search results you've clicked through tracked within your Google account.

Going on for a while now. I don't even mind being tracked so much as I mind losing the copy-paste functionality. If anyone finds a workaround (other than highlighting the link in the search result), please let me know!
