People who have no idea that websites are written with specific browsers in mind and therefore Chrome probably won't be able to access their online bank account, which is fine, because these people don't use online banking since they don't know what a browser is.
Oh! I had no idea it worked that well. I'm a long-time user of [Not Explorer] and frequently have problems with the website I'm at requiring that I go use Explorer to access them. I figured I'd have that problem with Chrome as well.
See, it's my long experience with browsers that makes me reluctant to try Chrome. So probably Chrome decided their best bet was to try people who haven't yet started to use browsers.
That strikes me as a challenging business plan, but whatever.
In their defense, just because they don't know that it's called a browser doesn't mean they can't find their way around online. Maybe they would've gotten better results if they asked which program do you use -- IE, FF, or Chrome?
They abandoned email, but upgraded to a Version 9 of the web-browser and it works great. It's based on Mozilla 5, I think.
I also use a really snazzy Personal Information Manager called Chaos Intellect that has a browser tucked inside it almost as an afterthought, but I mostly use Netscape.
Why?
Because I can. I suspect that my avoidance of all default web interfaces makes me a bit less likely to be attacked.
