I would be quite amused (and curious) to see male ballet dancers in the nude.
In 6th grade we were taken to see The NutCracker at the Burbank Theater in Santa Rosa. The man male dancer got an erection part way through. It was so freakin' awesome.
Hmm, that should have been "main" not man. I hadn't woken up yet. :p (that's not really a valid excuse for typos on LJ as I am just lazy)
It was the perfect age group for such an experience. I'm pretty sure almost every 6th grade class from the city of Santa Rosa was there too.
I'm willing to bet that there are a few male ballet dancers who would pose nude for free. I've never done any nude shooting but that would almost make me want to give it a try. The male form is too often neglected.
It's really hard to find good reference photos of the musculature of a ballet dancer, as they tend to wear tights that soften and hide the body lines.
I'm being completely honest here too! I'm working on a comic and one of my characters is a ballet dancer, like I was before I wrecked my leg - I want her to be realistic in build, and to show of the build properly when she's wearing shorts of the like and photos like this are a god send for references.
Also, just from an artistic standpoint WOW - wonderfully framed and balanced pictures, I like the sense of movement and the compositions^^
