Canon 5D Mark II released today

The Canon 5D Mark II camera was officially released today. Among its new features? The ability to capture 30 frames per second MPEG-4 video at 1920 by 1080p resolution. Here’s a sample video entitled Reverie by Vincent Laforet.

That is... amazing. Nothing short of amazing. I have never seen video image quality that high on my laptop before. I am tempted to plug my laptop into the 50' plasma TV and see it there. My god. It's so clear and crisp and detailed.

Nice camera. I like the idea of a good single shot camera that can do good video too.
