I’ve seen the first two episodes–two thumbs up! It’s like watching a sunny version of a Tim Burton film.

It reminds me a lot of John Irving and particularly "The World According to Garp." Which is a very good thing! Garp writes a story "Magic Gloves"-- "He can do wonders when he's wearing his magic gloves. If his wife is sad, he touches her with his gloves, she's happy. If his children are crying, he touches them, and they smile. But he can't feel them! He yearns to feel. He can even hold off death with his magic gloves, but he can't feel life. So, he takes off the gloves, and he dies. But, he finally feels life as he's flying into the arms of death." Daisies reminds me of that because he can do magic but can't touch her. Great stuff.

Me too! Which worries me, as the shows I like tend to meet ignomious demises. I hope it's fate is closer to "The Wire" than "Firefly".

I feel that way, too. If a show starts to go down it almost makes it more interesting because I figure, Hey, there must be something to this. :)
