This is astoundingly cool and it depresses me so much. I want to win the lottery so I can design a house with a steampunk-inspired office just for me. Something with gears and brass and glass and oh, bother.

Immensely creative use of space and materials. Thanks for posting :)

One of my team is currently building a genuine Jules Vern 20K under the see portal from his underground play room into the pool. All inside a 3 story castle.

Those little dark green couches in the first photo are about a grand a piece.
I have a design Im working on that look similar to them, but add a level of function that will kick ass. I need to try to get them built this year.

Ah…architecture………..my true love.

Architecture represents the highest level of our achievements, it means we have care, about ourselves, and our future.

Very cool. What functions do you plan to add to the couches?

The ability to set them up so they can snake around.

This is best demonstrated with a picture, which I will render just as soon as I learn how to use SketchUp.
