Susannah McCorkleI've already recommended this song before, but at the time I only had a link to a RealAudio file of the song. So here's the mp3 of "Waters of March", one of my favorite songs. It always cheers me up when I listen to it.

Unfortunately, I found out about it via a rather sad means--a Fresh Air tribute to the singer, Susannah McCorkle, following her suicide on May 19, 2001.

Oh, no.

And Ellis Regina didn't fare too well, either. :-(

That song means a lot to me, for me it's about surrendering to the moment. Acceptance, equanimity, serenity.

I meant Elis Regina, the vocalist for the most popular Portuguese version of that song. The one where she is so exuberant that she comes close to bursting out laughing toward the end.

terrific!

That's a very nice take of Jobim's song.

I love this song too but check out the version on Red Hot and Rio, some dead latino tribute album, with David Byrne from Talking Heads. It's jamilious.

Thanks for providing the MP3. I first heard this song at the end of Jerry Seinfeld's movie, The Comedian, and fell in love with it. I was really saddened to hear of the Susannah Mccorkle's suicide. What a tragedy.
