Ron Paul just broke $6 million, halfway to the $12 million target for the quarter. The November 5th drive has raised $2.84 million so far today.

Picture 6

The mainstream media is starting to take notice:

"It doesn't matter what day we pick, because nobody knows who Guy Fawkes is anyway."

...Unless it halfway works, and then the media will bring it up, and use the words "bombing parliament" with no real response from the Ron Paul campaign.

Fucking awesome.

Given that Congressional approval ratings are nearing the teens, I don't think the notion of symbolically bombing Parliament/Congress is viewed as negatively as you think it is.

You're right, man. A vast majority feel the way you do, and they're giving money right now, and Ron Paul will be President in 2009.

Well, I have no illusions about his odds. Odds are, Hillary will be the next President. I'm in this because I want most of his ideas to spread.

If you want to spread ideas, you might want to consider how they look to people who don't already share them. Which is something the Ron Paul campaign has not shown much awareness of so far.

The November 5th campaign came from the grass roots, and grew without any help from the campaign. So I don't think the campaign itself can take significant credit for it.

Perhaps we'd do better emphasizing something else though. If you have positive suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

Publicity is a well-paid profession. The tragic missteps of Ron Paul's amateur supporters are one example why it's well-paid. But it's not my profession, and you're not paying me anyway. But if you want some free advice, I'll remind you of something else Ron Paul's amateur supporters have forgotten. Raising money isn't the point. It's just a means to an end, being able to hire people who are publicity professionals, so you can reach more voters without turning them off.

Heee, awesome!

I stopped watching it earlier today, was going to check when I got home. Sounds like it hasn't slowed down from when I checked this morning!
