PAR-ICE HILTON - SHE WANTS TO BE FROZEN…WITH PETS
18th October 2007
By Charli Morgan in London, and Iain Burchell, US Editor, in Los Angeles

WACKY Paris Hilton wants to live for ever by having scientists freeze her body
when she dies.

The super-rich heiress is investing a fortune in the world’s biggest suspended
animation cemetery so it can preserve her and then bring her back to life.

The plan is that future technology will be able to restore her, looking younger
than ever. And to keep her company, Paris will have her beloved pets frozen with
her.

The 26-year-old It Girl has snapped up shares in the Cryonics Institute in
Michigan, where she reckons the boffins can make sure she is still partying in
thousands of years’ time. It’s so cool, she said. Almost all the cells in the
body are still alive when death is pronounced. And if you’re immediately
cooled, you can be perfectly preserved.

My life could be extended by hundreds and thousands of years. Animal lover
Paris fears her pet chihuahua Tinkerbell will be the first Hilton to put the
scientists to the test because the poorly pooch is said to be on its last legs.

Paris who is being lined up for I’m A Celebrity Get me Out Of Here! is
turning her upcoming trip to Rwanda into a reality show. She will be followed
around by a film crew on her five-day mercy mission visiting schools and clinics
in the war-ravaged country.

If only we could get a head start on the process.

Well, one could always pull a Mark Chapman.

This is entirely reasonable. It's very possible that someday they'll find a cure for herpes.

How is it that Tinkerbell is a "poorly pooch...said to be on its last legs"? The dog's like, five years old, in the longest-lived breed that that can make it to twenty. Paris must have been sharing that crack she's on with her dog.

When you've done as much smack as Tinkerbell, it's gotta take a toll, man.

While PH is a huge flake and the last person I'd choose to be somebody to preserve for future generations she does have the advantage of being fabulously wealthy.

Perhaps someday the technology of cryogenics will actually mature and this "cooky scheme" might even pay off. If it wasn't for wealthy nuts like Hilton the funds to spur on such technology would never materialize. Someone has to be the first customer -to drive the market in a new, unproven technology.

It's her money, she can spend it any way she wishes. I wonder if her pets will join her in the freezer immediately after her own death or they will be allowed to live out their natural lifespans?

THAT is the morbid part. Reminds me of the ancient Egyptians and how they wanted to bring their servants with them into the afterlife!
