But why not just make it out of cardboard?

If things get that bad in an emergency I think they would just use bulldozers and shallow graves with body-bags (or not).

Personally, I'd like to be cremated. A box isn't really necessary is it?

Wow! mass emergency the living will be more urgent than the dead. A large blanket and 6 feet of dirt would be sufficient for the dead at that point (as bad as it is to say that!) . They should market coffee tables that are multi-function a table and then when you die a coffin!
