What can 8 weeks of the Gym Jones 300 workout do to a man’s body? This:

Vincent shed about 40 lbs and increased his deadlift from 205 to 355. About half the crew was able to do the following “300″ workout by the end of 4 months of training:

“300”
25x Pull-up +
50x Deadlift @ 135# +
50x Push-up +
50x Box Jump @ 24” box +
50x Floor Wiper @ 135# (one-count) +
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36# (KB must touch floor between reps) +
25x Pull-up
300 reps total

Now to actually do it.

Have you seen anything about their *diets* throughout all the training? I haven't yet.

What I heard was that they kept them on a diet that was carefully calculated to approximate the caloric intake of hoplite soldiers in the field: i.e. ony enough calories to replace what they were burning off on a daily basis or less. That's why they all had that rangy, soldier-like look instead of looking like gym-bunnies. They were half-starved.

Look here for descriptions of many of the moves described above.

A "Clean & Press" involved lifting a barbell from the floor to the shoulders, then pressing it with the arms up above the head (military press style).

His facial expressions in those pictures are really interesting. The before pic, he looks as if he will fall over and/or asleep at any moment. The after one, he looks a little crazy, like he might well attack/eat/bench press the photographer without warning.

It's a whole fuck of a lot easier when your getting paid many thousands of dollars to do it. No idea what his salary was for the production but I bet he was making more than I do in a year.

Not to mention that he probably didn't have to pay for any of the training, materials, etc...

money does not get results, heart does. the advantage is not the money he gets paid, its the time he has to do it. if my full time job was working out, I'd look like a beast.

butterflies , that's so beautifyl.. where do they disappear... heart is what makes wishes. everything else is the time to make them real.. Well done to the solders, but i think they have done a lot to get to the point where there were! :)
