HAH! Ahahahahahaha! *snort* Hoo. Hee. Yeah... I'm thinking probably not. Getting paid big bucks to sit on your ass and write about your boring life is the wet dream of housebound geeks everywhere.
He links to high-end shoes from companies that he gets a referral bonus from, in addition to his ads, which he must get a good rate on because it's such a targetted audience. Seriously, like 80% of the posts are "here is a pretty pair of shoes" and the remainder is celebrity humour or fashion commentary. And mind you, he's one of the most popular fashion bloggers and gets a ton of traffic, so there is fact an audience of people out there who want to see pretty shoes every day (this includes me).
Suppose he gets a 5% referrer bonus (pretty standard) and the shoes are about $400 a pair (that's about the average for the shoes he links to.) Then he gets $20 every time one of his readers buys a shoe. So if he made all his money on shoe referral bonuses, he'd have to sell 5000 pairs a year to make six figures. But, he also has the advertising, and he has something like five blogs now, not just the shoes, all with advertising and referrer bonuses.
So not only do I think it's credible that he's making six figures, I think there's probably room for more blogs of this type.
