Maybe I'm just weird, but I didn't find it creepy at all. I want some potted eyeplants!
By the way, I think slugs are cute. Did you know if you put something right in front of one of their eyestalks and they run into it, they'll retract their eyes? It's the coolest thing.
I like slugs too. If I see one on the sidewalk, in danger of getting squished, I'll move it off to the side.
I think I find the potted eyeplants creepy because, due to their shape and movement, they trigger the same atavistic response I feel toward parasites (worms, etc.).
