By default, you can browse an ftp-accessible site in Firefox by putting in the following as a url:

ftp://test1:ftppassword@test1.com/

where "test1" is your loginname, and test1.com is your website.

Handy Mac OS X tip: If you click on a picture in your browser, and "drag and drop" it into a terminal window, the file path/URL of the picture will be pasted into your terminal's command line.

I love how OS X lets you drag and drop almost anything, anywhere, in some manner you never expected.

Wait, no. I just love OS X. Mmm, Apple. Mmm, BSD.

You can ftp in any browser (IE, NN, Safari) that way as well. It's very handy.

Not just ftp. Works for http as well, and probably smb and plenty of others though I've not tried it.

This is commonly used by spammers/phishers. They'll give you a nice innocent looking url like this:

http://www.cnn.com/national/news/story666:666@myevilserver.com/myevilapp

This works in just about every browser. and beware of the aformentioned spammers.
