Chassis
International ACCO ex-Army vehicle. The chassis has been extended by 2.5m.

Engine
Perkins 6354 diesel. 6 litres, turbo charged.

Gearbox.
Eaton SMA 475, 5 speed synchromesh.

Drive train
Hi/lo range transfer case. Six wheel drive. Permanent four wheel drive on rear bogie and selectable drive to front wheels.

Wheels
Split rims with 1200/20 tyres, 1 spare wheel/tyre

Brakes
Standard air over hydraulic enhanced with Jacobs exhaust brake.

Electrical
12v truck, 24v & 12v house. Total re-wire of truck harness performed.

Dimensions
Width 2.5m (8'2"), height 4m (13'), length 10.5m (34').

Ground clearance
350mm under diffs, 500mm under most of chassis.

Angles
Entry - 54 degrees, Exit - 43 degrees, Ramp over - 153 degrees.

Fuel
600 litres (13gals) diesel, 100 litres (22gals) petrol (for motor bikes).

Range
1800k (1125 miles) on-road. Off-road, depends on terrain.

Recovery
20,000lbs (9tonnes) PTO driven winch, pulls to front or rear. Assortment of snatch blocks, chains, jacks etc. Full set of tools including power tools and welder.

Water
280 litres drinking, 700 litres fresh, 180 litres grey, 80 litres black.

Power
8 x 64 watt Unisolar shade tolerant solar panels. 3300 watt inverter is also a 100 amp 24v battery charger. 8 x 215ah deep cycle batteries makes a 10,320wh battery bank.

Appliances
42 litre convection micro wave, three burner Highland gas cook top, 240 litre 24v Fisher & Paykel fridge, ACME mangle, Atwood gas hot water system.

Cladding
2mm aluminium tread plate over most of body.

Body
The body is made entirely from steel. It is mounted to the chassis at three points using special rubber mounts. This system allows the chassis to flex without affecting the body and also provides good vibration isolation.

Storage


All floor sections lift to access internal bins plus eight external bins. Provision for about 60 wine/beer/softdrink bottles and over three months food.
Underfloor storage compartments have removable bottom panels for maintenance of drive train.


Communications
UHF and AM CBs, also hand-held UHF CB, CDMA phone.

Safety
Powder and refillable water fire extinguishers accessible from outside. Powder extinguishers inside.

Other features
All heavy items below chassis and most storage as low as possible, it looks top heavy but it's not.

Tropical roof provides shade, also well insulated with Barrier 2000, closed-cell foam and polyester batts.


Massive windows in living room fully open for ventilation.


Poptop over bedroom gives full headroom.


Bedroom has full-length windows at bed level to provide cross ventilation.


All windows have shutters to protect them from damage and provide shade.


Garaging for two Honda SL230 motor bikes. Bikes are winched in/out.


"Expand-a-loo" toilet opens out for use then returns to allow passage through hallway.


Vanity on rear of toilet door, stores over toilet when door closed.


Shower folds away to increase kitchen bench space.


Rear deck folds down to provide outdoor living space.


Full size 12 CFM compressor for inflating tyres and operating air tools.


Body can be pressurised while driving to help keep dust from entering.


Fully self contained in the bush with no facilities for periods of at least one month but probably up to three months.
