I think the power chute looks the less ridiculous of the two. In that

(A) I've seen real people use it;
(B) Less of the "dog straining on tether" imagery.

I agree ... but I'm disappointed that they didn't expand on the principle: put a wind-generator on it, and an extra-large propellor on the guy's beanie, so he could power his LED glasses as he ran.

this is wey wey wey scary.
