I didn't watch all of them, but many of them seem to criticize Bush for the job losses and economic doldrums that began near the beginning of his term. Although I think that government policies heavily influence the economy, it takes time for such policies to ripple through the economy. Although I think Bush's economic policies are, for the most part, terrible and will harm the economy, I don't think he can be blamed much for the past four years. The next four years however...
Also, a lot of them seem to criticize him for defunding the No Child Left Behind act. Since I don't think such programs should exist in the first place, it doesn't bother me that their being defunded.
I liked "In My Country" because I'm more concerned about our loss of freedoms and privacy. "Child's Pay" would have been better if it was about the children of today paying for the social programs, including Social Security.
I liked "In My Country' too. I interpreted "Child's Pay" as being about the children of today paying for social programs--the deficit we're creating today will be born on their shoulders when the debt comes due.
