It's a sad, sad thing when a man cuts himself on a butterknife while attempting to open a bag of frozen broccoli.

Over the past week, I got three paper cuts on my left hand.

First butterknives, now paper. Does the trial lawyers association know about this?

You know someone who had to go to the hospital due to paper cuts?

Yup, it got infected (I think the person cut herself on a possibly gritty cardboard box while breaking it down for the dumpster) somewhat like this story.

In high school I had an aquaintance try to impale a carrot on a knitting needle and instead impale their hand on said needle.

And a side note - ewww, broccoli. *shudder*

Owch.

1. Why was your "acquaintance" trying to impale a carrot with a knitting needle? I've heard of body modification, but carrots...?

2. Broccoli's good! And good for you too. Now, cabbage, that's just gross.

I never really did understand WHY she was doing it - just to say that she was sitting in front of the mindnumbing television, and was eating a carrot and I guess she simply decided to mount the darn thing on the knitting needle. Who knows what goes through the mind of a 14 year old at that point.

And by putting it in quotes are you trying to imply that it was ME??? Hah. Nope, I don't have a scar on the fleshy part of the hand between the thumb and first finger the size of a hole.

Broccoli seriously doesn't work for me - My daughter loves it, and while I will let her cook it for herself, it simply inspires a gag reflex in me. Cabbage - I've only had it in coleslaw, and never did understand why people would want to eat something so bitter.

that's what you get for trying to eat vegetables

stick with steak; it's safer.

You know, you're right. I've never been injured by a beef product before. Enough of these dangerous vegetables--it's only Angus barn for me now.
