Yes, I used to. Though it's been so long since I've used any of it, it may well have been absorbed by fees by now.

It's better to think of e-gold as a warehouse than a bank. They're not supposed to lend out the gold, so there's no interest. Like a warehouse, they charge a "agio fee" for storing the gold. It's been so long since I used e-gold, that I'm not sure if my balance has been eaten up by agio fees.

On one hand, that's very cool.

On the other hand, I wouldn't invest in a company (e.g. the Gold Casino) that lacks a real prospectus for the stock. I don't even know how many shares of common stock are outstanding, nor does there appear to be any way to find out.

However, the gold-based stock market idea is very cool, even if I'm not too excited about the one stock currently offered on it. :)
